         About Us

           Chaudry Ghulam Noor Muhammad (Late) envisioned an entity which
    can accommodate and unite Pakistanis of all languages, political, and
    religious background beyond the borders of Pakistan. On Saturday, 23
    March, 2002 in London, England Overseas Pakistanis Organization
    (OPO) was conceived on his very notion to unite, empower and help
    prosper all Pakistanis settled abroad.
            Our organizations’ driving force is its committed and dedicated
    volunteers which allows us to function successfully in Sydney, Australia;
    London, England; Tokyo, Japan; Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; Dubai, United
    Arab Emirates (UAE); and Chicago, United States of America. OPO does
    not participate in raising funds neither does it requires monetary pledges.
    Our operable fashion involves little to no funds. We help our Pakistani
    communities and its members by recognizing their businesses,
    providing them information regarding ways to save money on daily
    bases, guiding them to our volunteers who can help in filing taxes*, filing
    and pursuing immigration matters* and writing letters to their local
    political leaders*. We provide all of these services free of charge. Yes,
    Free of Charge.
            OPO is an organization by the people of Pakistan for the people of
    Pakistan. We encourage all of our members to participate in their desired
    political parties and support those leaders who are credible and are
    beneficial for Pakistan. However, we do not authorize any of our members
    to use organizations’ name for the purpose of personal gain or to
    associate it with the name of their political parties.
            The purpose of OPO is to have an external check and balance on all
    Pakistani political parties as well as to highlight problems of all size and
    find their solutions through the people who face them.
            OPO is able to create such unique check and balance system by
    keeping records of promises made today by the leaders of tomorrow.
    This practice allows spotlighting negatives and positives of any leader’s
    tenure, thus, giving people the choice and true democratic power to
    decide who to vote. It is the duty of OPO to help overseas Pakistanis
    realize their true strength and the value they hold for Pakistan and to help
    them raise voice for their rights and causes. Might of group is always
    better than the might of an individual. Together we can make difference,
    and prosper.
